Gentry Hogan, Attorney
Gentry C. M. Hogan is a native North Carolinian, born in the beautiful town of Sanford. Gentry proudly served in the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman for several years, stationed with Marines at Camp Johnson, North Carolina, Camp LeJune, North Carolina, Great Lakes Naval Hospital, Waukegan, IL, and in Charleston, South Carolina. Using his medical background, Gentry has worked in several hospitals, including Rex Hospital, Wake Medical Center, and at UNC Hospital. Gentry is also proud of his work as a burn technician at the North Carolina Jaycee Burn Center in Chapel Hill, NC. A member of Alpha Kappa Psi, national business fraternity and Delta Theta Phi, the national legal fraternity, Gentry is also a distinguished member of Who's Who Worldwide.
Gentry concentrates his practice in Social Security Disability law (with nearly 25 years experience), Worker's Compensation, as well as Personal Injury litigation, and the newly expanded Veteran's Disability Law. In different trials he has been the plaintiff’s counsel, witness, and a juror. Gentry graduated from S.U.N.Y., Albany, N.Y., and obtained his Juris Doctorate degree from Widener University School of Law, Harrisburg, PA campus. Gentry is married to his lovely wife, Anna, and they have four active children, Natalie, Ryan, Grant, and Alani. The family lives in North Raleigh with their yellow lab Scout! . When not in the courtroom, Gentry enjoys spending time with his family and going to the movies. He is licensed to practice in all courts in the State of North Carolina, the United States District Court and is a member of the bar of the United States Supreme Court.

Anna Hogan, North Carolina State Bar Certified Paralegal
Anna is part of our litigation support department and is our Senior Litigation Paralegal with over 12 years experience. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and a post-baccalaureate Paralegal degree from Meredith College. Before even graduating at the top of her class in 1999, Anna was hired by Bailey & Dixon, LLP, a prominent defense firm in downtown Raleigh. Anna is also a North Carolina State Bar Certified Paralegal. Anna has four children and in her rare spare time she enjoys not doing laundry and likes to vacation at the beach.
Rhonda Clark, North Carolina State Bar Certified Paralegal
Rhonda was born and raised in Robbins, North Carolina. Her first introduction into the legal profession was in 1986 when she began work as a Deputy Clerk in the Wake County Clerk's Office, predominately in the Criminal Division. Following that, she furthered her paralegal education by obtaining experience in the private sector where her firm initially practiced criminal defense law and then later concentrated on personal injuries and medical malpractice cases. She has two wonderful children, Nick and Megan. When she can find the time, she loves to enjoy one of her passions in life - scrapbooking !!

Emmie Smith, Veteran
Emmie is our Veterans Disability Paralegal. She is originally from Michigan, but came to North Carolina in 2001 when she was stationed at 82d Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, NC. In 1994, Emmie enlisted in the United States Army as a paralegal in the Judge Advocate General Corps. She honorably left the service in 2007 as a Sergeant First Class. During her time in service, Emmie also worked as a Cumberland County Guardian ad Litem volunteer for several years. Following that, she furthered her paralegal education by obtaining experience in the private sector where her firm practiced criminal defense, family law, juvenile law, traffic offense, and estate planning. Emmie moved to The Hogan Law Firm, PLLC in 2011. She has two children that she enjoys traveling and camping with in her free time.
